You might miss a couple of cheap, lascivious, one night stands by being patient. But you're not missing much.
Being patient is almost always a very smart thing to do.

If being patient for waiting for something to happen that will not happen if action is not taken. Then yes it is stupid because that patience just became naive, preventing you from seeing the truth.

Consider French who did not take action against Hitler in 1939 and waited patiently for events to unfold?[1]
Result? Full scale collapse of France under German Blitzkrieg.[2]
Sometimes you cannot wait and must strike while you can.

I wouldn't say so in the beginning...but if the situation you are being patient about looks like it's never going to change...then, probably. Can't wait around forever, right?

Yes, if you can do something about it.
Example:
You're waiting in bored for a bus which will come in 30 minutes for a walk which will take 40 minutes (or less) to arrive to your destination.
You're waiting for a guy/gal to ask you to go together while you know that if you ask him/her he/she will accept your offer in instant.
those are stupid things.

If you are ignoring the warning signs, waiting in vain, perhaps. Otherwise, isn't patience considered a virtue? One I don't have, but a virtue none the less!

well sometimes... like if somsone owes you alot of money... and you dont say anything because you are patient..... now that would suck
