Well, a quick search gave out only: "Tarahumara natives of northwestern Mexico in the Copper Canyon area may have practiced persistence hunting." (persistence hunting means a combination of running and tracking to pursue the prey to exhaustion) You could try to google more with that keyword, or start from wikipedia and it's sources.
