I would speak to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in your area. The EEOC has representatives that specialize in all areas of harassment. You can tell them the specifics of your situation and they will tell you if any of those circumstances are grounds for legal action. I went through work problems years ago and they gave great advice on documentation and statements that I needed from other employees that would help build my case to prevent my situation from getting worse. Good Luck.

well unfortunately there really isn't much you can do except leave your job. A lot of jobs nowadays will just cut your hours, or make your life miserable when you work there so that you will just quit. The reason they do this is becuase, if they fired you, you could collect unemployment, which they dont want to pay for.
So by getting you to quit, they win twice, because they dont have to pay your unemployment, and they can hire a worker to work for less. It sucks, i've seen it happen to fellow co-workers.
It shouldn't be too hard to find new work, there are a lot of truciking jobs out there, and with your experience, i'm sure you wouldn't have much of a problem.

First of all are you nearing retirement age? If so that is why they are making you miserable too. I'm not near retirement age what so ever but I have had a foreman that was and they found a reason to "Suspend him indefinitely" so he couldn't withdraw unemployment pay. He went and talked to his lawyer and my former foreman took the company to court and won the battle for back pay and all.
Just an idea that is all.... I'm not saying that is what your company is trying to do. There must be some kind of reason or another behind why your employer wants to make you miserable.

Teamsters do not have that problem. It is nice keeping the money until problems develop.. Think about getting a job that has the teamsters. They enjoy driving large rigs and having the security of union backing. I know trucking is a tough demanding job and the last thing you need is abuse. Good luck, if you can prove discrimination go to the ACLU or government office that handles those cases.

in the uk, and most probably in other countries if u r not in the uk, there is in employment law a procedure called 'constructive dismissal'. this is when ur working conditions become so intolerable that u r focred to leave. however evidence for this must accrue over time. the most obvious r race and sexual discrimation and harrassment.
u must keep a log of each time u report ur misgivings and u request for action or change. if these keep failing then go to a lawyer and give ur evidence so they can file ur information. after a sufficient amount of time and ur lawyer will advise u on this as each case is according to its merits, u should leave stating IN WRITING to ur emloyer that u r leaving under CONSTRUCTIVE DISMISSAL. then go back to ur lawyer and ask them to put in proceedings for a claim for C/D.
in the uk this can be done free buy the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
as to ur countries procedures is u r not in the uk i do not no, but all western law countries will have similar legal procedures.
good luck the law is on ur side.

It's the American way. Don't take it personally, even though it feels very personal. It's amazing what companies will do to save a few dollars. They wring everything out of you and then cast you aside.
