I have always wanted to play soccer. I don't know if any professional soccer players have asthma, maybe one somewhere does. Wish I knew so I could tell you.

I don't think a professional soccer player would be able to play with asthma.

Many professional sports men and women have asthma.
I have see football, league and rugby players using inhalers on the field during breaks in play.
There is no reason why they shouldn't continue to play professionally if they can control the symptoms.

I played for little while but never had asthma until recently when I unexpectedly suffered an asthma attack.

as an almost-professional player (i'm almost their) i can tell you that their are some.
its like any sport, the best, most determined players are playing professionally.
so a little asthma won't stop a professional player

The fitter you become the less chance you have of getting an asthma attack. So I think most players would have eradicated their chances of getting it if they had it before.
