No they don't.
I'm pro-choice.
I've had an abortion, it was needed. It sucked to have to do, of course it isn't fun. It's not like it tickles, but there were problems with the baby...it would've been born a vegetable, if not born dead. These are the times when abortion is ok as far as I'm concerned. Also, if the baby was concieved out of rape, or if the mom did drugs heavily...or even if she is just too young. It's not to be abused as a form or birth control mind you, however, sometimes things happen, and it just IS the best resolution.

If your parents were able to get an easy abortion would You be here?? Most people never think of how many lives were spared by the inability to get easy abortions. People need to take responsibility for their actions. I personally know of several who had abortions and later in life lost children they wanted. Then they regretted having the abortion. Life is a precious thing and perhaps that kidney which the unwanted child has will save your life later. Raising children is a very big challenge but the ability to do it successfully provides more joy than almost any other action in life. Religion has nothing to do with it. It is a matter of standing up and protecting your creation like it was a find painting because a child is precious and giving. Sure dogs and cats are cheaper to keep but they do not reward you with as much love and care. Changing diapers and going through all the trouble enables you to have someone that carries your name and memory for many more years that you have.

Say that you rememberd everything before you were born up to the point of your death including your birth. In a beter prespective, say you could see your life as if you were a ghost, looking from above inspecting every detail. Now say you decided to see your future, you cant. The reason being is because you dont know what you can contribute to the world, what you could become. You have a million possibilities of what your future could be like. You could become President of your country, you could become a firefighter, a doctor, a police officer, anything. As you think about the millions of possibilities, the many lives you can change and help. Your attention is suddenly shifted to a thought that occurs to you, lets see your birth what you look like.Except that there is no birth, only blank space. So you wander around hopelessly, still thinking what you could have become, for eternity. Of course this is impossible, and it does sort of fall along the line of religion, so think about it this way, having an abortion is wrong simply because you are taking away the life of another person, you have no right to do such a thing. That baby could become the next president, or a doctor, a lawyer, a firefighter, a police officer. Every abortion not only affects the unborn child, taking away all of his or her chances at becoming somthing. It affects the world around us, every person that lives in our earth.Thats one cop less that could have saved a life, one firefighter less that could have saved someone, one person less that could have made a difference in our world.

There is too many forms of contraception out there to prevent unwanted pregnancies. You are taking a LIFE no matter how you look at it. It's MURDER! It is a selfish person that would even consider such a thing when they know how to prevent it in the first place. I have heard people say, well in the heat of passion they don't think of that or it will kill the mood. To this I say f****** bulls***. It does not kill the mood and you do think of that if you are a responsible human being. It makes me sick to my stomach when I hear all these lame a** excuses. There is only one type of abortion I recognize and that is a miscarriage. Once a life is conceived it has the right to exist.

I'm against it. You're killing a human being. Try other choices like adoption for instance. There are many people out here who can't have children..who would LOVE the chance to adopt. I never really gave the idea of abortion any thought until I saw a pamplet entitled....Never to LIVE, LAUGH, OR LOVE. It really makes you think. The poor kids who are aborted are never even given a chance to do those things. I'm not religious. I just think it's wrong to kill an unborn child. =(

It's a woman's choice. Doesn't mean its right. I know a friend that had an ab. and prayed to God and turned that life back to Him. Is it fair to bring into the world a child that can not be cared for properly either? And into a world that already has an overabundance of children in orphanages? There are times where a family with a houseful of children makes me angry as I believe THEY are the sinners in not looking at adoption instead of procreating just to pass on their own genes. Meanwhile, the numerous children that are raised without parents.
It is a double ended sword.
Does God wish for us to end life? No. Does God wish for us to procreate when there are so so many children that need homes? I surely hope not.
**jumping off podium**. It probably didnt answer your question.

I don't think most arguments against abortion deal with religion. They have to do with the question as to when life begins. Does it begin at conception or birth or 3 months after conception or when. I am not really pro choice or pro life. I believe that there are circumstances abortion would be acceptable (something is drastically wrong, life threatining with the fetus, etc or something is threatining the mothers life) I don't feel it is OK to use abortion as a birth control option, or because you are to scared to tell your parents, partner you are pregnant.

* Nobody KNOWS if aborting amounts to murder
This is the most powerful argument against abortion. If you don't know, then you can't abort, unless you're able to accept the possibility that you COULD be as evil as serial killers

I am not a religious person, but it is killing a baby. I am sorry, there are too many ways to prevent conception that abortion should be acceptable.
The only exception I will make is rape.

The fact that the fetus has a heart beat at 5 weeks is enough to convince me that it's killing something.
