there are actually alot of ways of doing this depending on your ISP and how/if the two machines are networked. its possible to view the list of websites he is visiting by directly going into your router, if you are using one, in most cases just punch 192.168.0.1(check usrs manual for specific instructions cuz ISP and router models may vary) in your browser and look for "STATUS" or "ACTIVITY" in your settings. if you want to see more then just URLS in the weblog you can gain a remote connection via a software installation on one or both machines.. try doing a search for such programs. also map out his drives and grant yourself network access from your pc. doing this you can "snoop" threw cache files and whatnot to see sut all he may be doing from teh coziness of your own machine

VNC (Virtual Network Computing) software makes it possible to view and fully-interact with one computer from any other computer or mobile device anywhere on the Internet. VNC software is cross-platform, allowing remote control between different types of computer. For ultimate simplicity, there is even a Java viewer, so that any desktop can be controlled remotely from within a browser without having to install software.

I probably won't get 10 points but...

I'd take the computer out of his room and make it so that the family computer is in the living room and your computer is the work computer so of course you can have it. ... you're the adult.

I really would do this. It might not go over well but neither will spying on him. You could always say that you're putting it in the family room because yours is on the fritz or that you want him to study more or sleep more or whatever.

Spying on him is not good because he can find out FAST.

without buying software you will have to use a pc spy it will run on his pc in the background without him knowing the only problem is you will have to initally set the system up and have it email you his searches internet address im logs and basically everything he is doing on his pc.my suggestion is go look or ask why risk starting a riot with a teenager "i assume"on what he does on his pc if its that big of a problem REMOVE IT FROM HIS ROOM

need to creat network. (simple since only 2 computer) you need to get cross over cable. which can be aviable in any electonic shop. if you know any tech person he can make with no time.

connect the cabel to ethernet conenctor. create a account on your son's system. go to you system and use the remote log on.
