People do change and mature, just sit down and talk with him about what he's about.

Perhaps he was mean to you in Middle School because you represented some part of himself that he was unable to deal with at the time. In other words, he sensed you were a "kindred" spirit but could not come to grips with his own feelings. Now in High School he may have matured a bit, come out to himself, etc. But be VERY careful. Don't do anything unless you are positive you are not getting your signals mixed. HS boys are notorious for being gay bashers, mostly, I think, due to trying to beat up by proxy the very feelings they are wrestling with themselves. Good luck and I hope everything works out.

Things change so fast at your age. There's a big difference between middle school & high school. Your looks, appearance changes, y'know? He may have noticed how you've changed & maybe he really likes you now. Tell him in a joking way that there's something you want to do (see a movie, go bowling) but you're waiting for him to take you. If he acts like he doesn't like it then just pretend you were kidding, & act like you can't believe he actually took you serious.

Middle School? Do you like the guy? Maybe back then when you first knew him, he was immature. Perhaps he's grown up "a little" and would like to know you better. But seriously; a sense of humor is a good quality. But too much can make someone look stupid. It doesn't hurt to take chances. Then you'll think "what if".

aw come on. this is so sweet. he acted mean because you didnt know he existed so he wanted your attention. now that he has it he's coming out with his true intentions. if he's good looking i'd go with it. If he's not then i'd give him untill after highschool to buff up then go for it. =D

There's always that old story about the girl that pushes the boy in the mud because she likes him... though that was a girl...

he probably wants to lay you. In middle school boys act mean when they want to lay you. In high school they act really sweet until they lay you and then they act mean again.
