It seems that if you where to pass the speed of sound and honk your horn that you would hear it because it too is traveling that fast. And Jet fighter pilots still hear their engines they don't hear the after burners(exhaust) which they rarely hear anyway because of them being seated in front of the engine. This is kind of like the tree in the forest falling and no one to hear it does it make a noise? Yes without a doubt you would hear it but who or whatever you honk at won't until you are long gone!!!

Yes, because the horn is in front of you, and even at this theoretical supersonic speed in a cars driver seat you are still traveling directly into that compressed line of sound. The sound of the horn would be much louder than normal, and higher pitched though, because the sound waves of the horn would be compressed, and piled on top of each other. If the horn was in the trunk of the car you would still hear it at normal speeds but you wouldn't hear a thing at Mach 1.
