I would like to answer this question even though not in the context of "lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender" forum. Most of us have some regrets. Some of these are very intense regrets. I have my own baggage. If I had to do it over again, I would. I would pick the person I would have children with more carefully. When we are single and kids are not involved, adults can do as they please as long as it is consentual. Once offsprings are involved, for better or for worse, you need to do what is best for them. Even if it means staying married, supporting the children financially, emotionally, educationally, and many other ways. So while I would like to do it all over again, I love my kids so I would choose not to. I just have to live with my burden till the end of my days.

There is close to a decade of my life in which a big part of me wants to say NO....I would never do it again. But I look at the outcome of that decade and know that if I changed it there are people I wouldn't have in my life right now and there are experiences that I wouldn't have had to go through that have since strengthened my character to what it is NOW! As much as I hate the one person who molded that decade into almost ten years of heartache, misery, and boarderline poverty...I wouldn't change it for the simple fact of how incredibly happy and in love I am right now.

When I was recovering from a major affective disorder I might have said yes in my more lucid moments. Now, remembering the pain and cruelty of my darling Gwenneth's parents,I must sadly say no.

PS perhaps some may find peace with these words.

Of course we all would, what comes to mind, my brother was murdered in front of my house 2 months ago; he knew I was gay, no problem but we lived in two different worlds(Gay guys got Straight Brothers you'll understand) What kills me today we didnt really try hard enough to be like you know "Die-Hard-Brothers". If you guys have a chance to do it all again, for the ones you trully love DO IT. Dont live in regret like me everyday.

Not all, but some of it I`d do again, maybe about 65% of it, and some of it never again, because I`d know better. some things would be impossible to do again, because I almost couldn`t do `em the first time.

Memories...may be beautiful, and yet, what's too painful to remember we simply choose to forget. So, it's the laughter we will remember, whenever we remember the way we were, the way we were...

It sounds tempting but I don't think so because everything I have experienced has shaped the person that I am today.

"Memories, like the corners of my mind...misty colored water memories, of the way we were..
"Scattered pictures, of the smiles we left behind..." Lord, you got me singin'! Thanks for making my day :)! Gimme my Striesand now(although I love Gladys Knight's version more!)!
