Save it to your hard drive and scan it with a virus scanner. It sounds like it is either a virus posing as a Word document, or the file may be corrupt. It is also possible that someone took a file that is not a Word document and renamed it to have the .doc file type.

Hello itsasecret,

Is there a way of looking at the information of this file. On a mac you select the file and then go to the File -> Get Info menu command, or simply hit the Command+I keys. The Info file will sometimes say what the program was created in. I'm not sure what the Windows version of this might be. Good luck.

i might call Western Union and ask them additionally, have you ever certainly MET this woman you're sending funds to? I basically ask because of the fact it truly is an exceptionally uncomplicated romance scam to pretend they're a missionary in Nigeria, while in result you're sending you funds to three 18 12 months previous boy in an internet cafe in Lagos who stole photos of a enormously woman off her facebook internet site. in case you have under no circumstances met or had a Skype communication with this woman, you're being scammed And why are you sending funds to her in any respect? If she's a missionary, all of her economic help comes from her church and the church contributors. $4 hundred is 4 months wages for the easy Nigerian so in case you despatched $800 you basically despatched 8 months earnings. there's no reason she might pick $800 if she have been a missionary. you won't be in a position to even artwork as a missionary in Nigeria till you have a visa it is backed by using your church who's a hundred% financially in charge for you once you're there
