Why does American help everybody out when they need and get nothing in return?

Well, we shouldn't expect anything in return. We do, however, generally get a nice stab in the back.

It is time that we stop helping, stop trying to mediate, stop trying to play the cop. Instead the military should be used solely to advance our needs and to brutally damage any country that attempts or intends to hurt us.

Let's just keep the armies home, put that foreign aid into fixing our debt problem, and let the various groups around the world kill and attack each other without interruption.

Kind of silly to expect something tangible in return when the people you're helping have absolutely nothing of their own. You will like yourself a whole lot better when you do something for "the poorest of the poor", like Mother Teresa did. Her comment on this -- " A life lived without doing for others is a life not worth living".

that's what I'd like to know. Vincent Fox from Mexico borrowed several million from us a few years ago and I haven't heard any news about him paying back a dime.
