Stop using CFC's.

CFC means "Chloro-flourocarbon". CFC's are a type of chemical that is used in spray cans (to make them spray) and in refrigerators (it's an important part of how they make stuff cold).

CFC's also react chemically with ozone, destroying it. Thus, when they get into the upper atmosphere, they tend to deplete the ozone layer.

It's easy to replace CFC's, and it's already been done. We now use chemicals called HFC's - hydroflourocarbons. They do the same things as CFC's, but they don't react with ozone, so they don't destroy the ozone layer.

The ozone layer is already healing since we stopped producing CFC's. It's estimated that it will take until about 2065 for it to make a good recovery.

Keep in mind that the ozone layer problem is not the same as the global warming problem; fossil fuels and greenhouse gases and using cars has nothing to do with it.
