This is a really good ? I choose to believe that it may not be the "true thing." Reason being: The publicity tour this man (Brett Meisner) went on...from ghost shows on A&E to radio shows, to talk shows...it is pretty strange. It makes me think that it may have been motivated by and for personal gain.
I would hope that something that dynamically powerful- seeing or witnessing and having evidence of a spirit -especially Jim Morrison's would be kept sacred and to one's self. (possibly telling a couple of close friends that it would not go any further with) Truly, if seeing Jim Morrison's spirit did happen -that is a special gift.., a gift very few- if any have TRULY encountered. (I believe I read that John Densmore, drummer of The Doors and author of, " Riders On the Storm..." recounted feeling Jim's presence... But, it wasn't something he made a big deal over...Something said to prove a point after he went along with a commercial years ago...attempting "corporate gain" from their art; which has an indirect tie with your query. Experiencing Jim Morrison's ghost should not be something to "ring the alarm" about... not something to have 15 minutes of fame over...so, here's my 2 cents: it more than likely is a sad "hoax".
Hope this helps in some way. :)

You are going to hear support for both sides of the story of course, but I think you'll find it to be a hoax. People want to believe he is still around. I doubt Jim Morrison would bother hanging out on earth, being the type of guy he was.

OMG did you see it too!? I saw this photo like about a month ago on the web... the first time I read the article the person wrote it really made me believe that it wa Mr. Mojo Risin' himself...! Yeah... the pic shows a man (flesh & bones) next to Jim's graveyard. And in the background it shows one of those little rooms that coffins are placed in. And standing in the doorway was... JIM MORRISON's ghost! He is shown shirtless and wearing black tight pants. His arms are stretched out and he's looking to the side. The first time I saw the pic of Jim's pose, it looked as if he had just finished singing one of The Doors' song.

Weird images in pictures have been around since day one. Some are intentional fabrications, some double exposures, others are strange reflected light.
Real Ghosts? I remain unconvinced, I say hoax. You can do a lot of weird things with images. I would tend to go with a answer I could explain rather than think it is "un-explainable".
