How do i let people know that I'm not a gold digger. A lot of people think that I am because my boyfriend is studying to be a neurosurgeon. And I'm studying to be a teacher. I'm not after his money, because I'm planning on having a stable job as a teacher. But people are assuming "oh she is just finding an easy way to get rich fast" Ok, my boyfriend has at least $100,000 in debts because of medical school...meaning he wont be making much for a loooooooong time. How can i get people to understand that im not out to get his money?

Don't worry about what other people think. You know what you're in it for and that's all that matters. The other people will see in time.

Just because a teacher is dating a doctor doesn't automatically mean that the teacher is a gold differ. If people assume that you are one, they must be getting their opinions from other things you say or do. I would pay more attention to yourself and the picture you might subconsciously be painting.

People are going to think what they want of you.If you ignore their snide comments and act like it does not bother you,then they will stop.Also show all of them the love you have for this man.Stand bedside him,not behind him and not in front of him.Show your affection for him,in a healthy way,when you two are around others.Money is the root of all evils,show them it is an evil you can do without.You can't MAKE them understand,so stop trying and just love your boyfriend.

Why should you waste energy concerned with what they think? You seem to have your life all together, your future well thought out and your long-term goals set. Hooray for you! Why do you feel the need to let people know anything? It's none of their business.

Find new friends and don't worry about what other people think. It's your life. If you are still in school focus on your studies. They are probably just jealous of you and they are playing games with your mind.

You can't get people to stay out of your business or to stop judging you. Just focus on your good relationship with your boyfriend, the only two opinions that matter!!!!!!! Let the rest go, it could be jealousy.

Well, my question is twofold: 1st, who are these people, and second, why do they matter to you? I would never choose to associate with anyone who thought so little of me, even family. Are they right? No? Then pay them no further thought. If they are that judgemental, you will never make yourself right in their eyes, and truthfully, why try?
