I've got, softball, complimentary sports tournament, retro, comedic, tv/movie, and beer ones. Such good memories with each shirt! They are taking up too much room in my closet and my wife wants me to get rid of a lot of them. What should I do?

P.S. - I don't exactly want to make a blanket out of them either like I've seen some people do.

*Sell them on ebay and take the profits and buy yourself something that you do have room for or take the sweet, lovely, understanding, kind wife out to diner.

You don't have to make a blanket. If your wife wants you to get rid of them, tell her she can make the blanket.
If the shirts mean a lot to you, you can line them with tougher cloth, stuff them, and sew them into pillows for your den sofa.
If that's too much work, or you don't care about the graphics, t shirts are great car wash rags, or you if you cut the graphic off the front for the pillows or the quilt, use the back as grease aprons or rags in the garage.

The shirts are not what the memories are made of... it is the people you were with or what you were doing. Getting rid of the shirt will not mean that you are getting rid of the memories... they are in your mind forever and no one can get rid of them. Since you don't want a blanket, I would assume that you don't want a wall muriel. If you have realitivies, give one to each of them and everytime you see one of your t-shirts it will remind you of a memory.

You basically have three choices for all your shirts. You could have a garage sale and sell them cheaply so that you can get rid of them. You could donate them to your local Salvation Army or Goodwill and arrange for pick up. Finally you could cut them up into small pieces and sell them to painters as rags. Go to your local Home Depot and check the prices on the rags. Just sell them for a fraction on the price.

Two things, sell them on eBay, you would be surprised how much money that you could get for them, people love retro and vintage t-shirts or bring them to a listen/ goodwill center.

take a picture of each one, write a story about each one and make a scrapbook out of the pictures and stories. you could even cut a little bit of the t-shirt and put it in the album as memorabilia. after the pictures turn them into rags, give them away, or sell the. i'd keep my favorite two for p-j's or junk t-shirts...

You could donate them to GoodWill, or you can choose your favs (2 or 3 of them) and frame them on your wall at your office, or in your closet. If you want to frame them, just fold it so that the front is a square, that way you don't have to cut them up.

Donate them to a homeless shelter or recovery center. Before then have your wife take pics of you in all of them, you can still have your memories and help someone too. (Keep 1 or 2 of your faves).

I'm sorry, whose shirts are they? They're yours!!! Keep them!! If you have an extra wall in your house, pin them up on it with little cards for captions that say when and where you got the shirt from. Or, if you don't have enough room, pack them away and save them for future generations (aka your kids). That's what my fiance is doing.
