He's turning 17 this month. He has no criminal record bc the cops always let him go w/burglary (twice, once he was sent to my house). He hangs out w/his friends and smokes mj all day and some friends have done prison time (most friends are a lot older than he is).

Tonight I had to pick my mom up bc my brother, cousin, dad and grandma were high off of something -probably needle drugs. My mom had tried stopping a fight between my brother and cousin and my dad told her not to get in the middle and started hitting her w/stuff. My mom was trying to get clothes and everyone was ganging up on her by hitting and throwing stuff at her (glass, crow bar) calling her names. My brother which she was trying to protect turned against her and started doing everything he could to her.
I had to get in the middle of everything which caused things to settle, but my brother put me to the ground.. hit my dogs (which my mom was watching) and hit me, cursed me and now i'm bruised and bleeding. What can I do?

I am definitely not trash like everyone else in my family. I'm a lot like my mom, but she's the reason our family is this way (we're classy and educated).

trust me the police will do nothing, my brother used me as his own punching bag. they just look at it as a domestic disturbance and wont even come within 100 feet of it. im not sure y. its definatly a sign that ppl like this will do worse things later on but the cops turn a blind eye

it sucks

Call the police. The bruises on you, and most definitely your mother will be enough proof of assault. Also report the drug use. If they spend enough time searching the house that your brother is staying at, I almost guarantee they can outsmart any hiding place of a 17 year old's drugs.

I hate to tell you this but poor uneducated people can be classy, just like rich educated ones can be trashy. Getting your brother thrown into jail will only ruin him. You need to get him out of the house, but not in this way. This is not a family you described, it's a madhouse with drugs involved. The behavior you described is as trashy as it gets.

Join a group like Al-Anon (Support group for family members of addicts and alcoholocs). Getting your brother in prison/juvie has HUGE consequences, which you might not want to get involved in. (It might be the right route to take, but can rip your troubled family even further apart.) GET out of that situation, and get support.

call 911

take pics of your and your mom's injuries too as proof, both of you need to move out of the house and not leave a forwarding address.

Try call the police, when he abuse your family members violently, it is enough to charge him with criminal act.
