I want to say this:Women have it much worse than men when it comes to health concerns. We men don't know what menopause is,bloating or cramps. The way women are treated in some other countries apalls me.Women are just as equal as men. They have the mentality to fight men but they just dont. They can fight back.
We men don't know what labor is like.Well,my mother is against me becoming a male gynecologist or a OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner.I believe a body is a body.I have the utmost respect for females.Men who hit you girls are cowards. You NEVER hit a woman.A woman can hit a man or kick his ***, but likely he deserves it.What would you do if people were against a guy wanting to be a gynecologist?Ladies, I love you.Keep fighting for what you know is right, fight for your rights, equality!.

I'm just starting my training into the medical field - but I completely stand by what you say. Yes, men have a bad rep about being rapists and such - but when you look at it ...that is a handful of idiots. Right now I'm in paramedic school and when it comes to helping people (aka patients) - I could care less what gender you are. I'm going to do whatever I need to in the most professional manner I can - even if it means being exposed to peoples genetalia.

It boils down to professionalism - and if you are professional and courteous about what you do, then I don't see any reason why someone should hold anything against you. However, if someone isn't being professional and misusing trust - they don't need to be in a position where they can place a bad name on those who do care.

For me it would be a comfort issue. Bringing up issues that have to do with personal space is hard enough to do with a woman; let alone a man.

Hi if you want to be a gynocologist then go for it, my last one was a male and he was very nice usually the women are the ones who scare me, some of them act like lesbos lol.
but seriously do what you want and who cares what anyone else thinks.

I AGREE WITH U 100%, A BODY IS A BODY!! DOES THIS SAME BELIEF APPLY TO A WOMAN IF SHE WANTS TO BE A UROLOGIST? SOME MAY BE EMBARRASSED AT "OPENING" UP TO THE OPPOSITE SEX OB/GYNE DOCTOR, BUT IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE THEN I SUGGEST THEY OBTAIN A FEMALE GYNECOLOGIST

I've never had a problem, and all I've ever had is male OB/GYNs...tell your mom to back off and let you live your own life.
