No, the party system however strangles most forms of rebellion.

All parties *yes, even the lovey dovey Lib-Dems* employ Party Whips, who basicalyl threaten and blackmail MP's to tow the party line. Many MP\s are excellent commoners, its the oppressive party machine that sits on them that is the problem.

Besides, we still have one of the most accountable Democracies on the planet. Try living in America...hell, youll be back in a week

Soon after they got in in their first term (in fact it was one of the first bills introduced) the Labour party destroyed private pension schemes by further taxing the pension providers. This has lead to many pension providers going bust and total misery for thousands that have paid into pension schemes for years and years, all their dreams crushed. But, Guess what?, do you think it affected the pensions of the MP's? of course not, they simply voted themselves two or three increases into their own pension scheme along with better provision to make their pensions second to none. Does that sound like insanity? it looks like looking after collective number one to me. If you look at John Prescott's carear and activities you may be right but it is not the insanity of the MP,S you have to worry about it's all those that voted the Labour in. Unfortunately, the conservatives appear to be no better (the new leader of the cons is known as Blair's lap dog--his policy's don't differ on major issues) so start looking at other major parties for inspiration instead of ''I,v voted labour/Conservative all my life and I will do to the day I die'' this is insanity. Look what each party has to say and vote only for that which you actually agree.

All the best

The short answer is NO! My Local MP the Right Honourable Harriet Harmann 'HHH' is the most helpful person you can ever know. She is the solicitor general for the whole Country and played a great role in helping to finally bring justice to the family of Damilola taylor (RIP). Some of them are pretty Lazy though.

They are there, for the most part, for their own selfish ends. They don't survive on the minimum wage (more like the maximum one). They are not concerned about the pensions crisis in the country (they don't have a crisis they vote for their own). They are self-seeking, self-serving parasites. Our only consolation is that in their state of great wealth they will have to live behind great security because one day the have-nots will have.
