They should be able to, I think it has been tried before, I have never heard of it being successful, but just on principle, I would keep trying. Unfortunatley, it is not something you can force and enforce and you cannot force the mother to take care of herself properly- thereby taking proper care of the baby while she was pregnant if she did not want the child. Women need to stop being so selfish and begin to realize we are talking about a whole other body when she is pregnant- her body her choice, please the choice was made when she decided to have sex, NOW it is the baby's body- NOT her choice!! And the father shoud have just as much right and responsibility over his child as the woman does- once a woman becomes pregnant she and the father are already parents- you are not waiting for the baby to be delivered from mars- that baby is here already and needs nourishment and care from the moment of conception! That nourishment and care is the mother and father's responsibility!

Yes you can, if you can find an attorney willing to take the case. Do I think you'll win? No, I don't.
I'm not against abortion in all circumstances but I believe that the father has just as many rights as the mother. If the father is willing to raise the child, pay all the expenses, etc, then I believe there should be a law that makes the woman give birth to the child. After the child is born, she can then walk away and pretend like it never happened.
I've always found this to be extremely unfair.

Sure you can. It may be a long shot but it isn't unheard of. I think it's horrid that a woman who evidently thinks she in inable or simply doesn't want to care for a child wouldn't at least give the father the opportunity. I hope like hell you win. Here's the deal though. You are fighting for your child. Win or lose, if this means something to you, you have to try. Whatever you do, refuse to listen to those who tell you that you can't. You can do whatever you want to do, including fighting for your right as a father. You would be surprised at what tenacity can achieve. You could actually "filibuster" until it's too late for her to abort. Don't rule anything out and don't give up. Find an attorney, call every one in the phone book if need be, call the media, call attorneys in other states and do whatever you have to do to at least know that you tried. I whole heartedly believe that it's high time the fathers rights are addressed. You could set the precedent. Go for it 100 percent, you have nothing to lose so don't get discouraged. Scream it from the roof tops if you need to. Good luck!!!

only in the movies guys...but I am would be worried about forcing a women to carry a child she doesn't want. Even if your intent is to care for the child. There are so many harmful things a women could do to a fetus before the baby is ever born, further more regardless of a life you may be able to give it, the baby will always yearn for a mother who never wanted it and I would worry about the psychological effects on their life.

Sadly no. It is the women's body. But I believe the man should have a say in it. It is his child too. If she doesn't want it and he does, the least she can do is carry it to term and give him all the parental rights. That would be better than murdering a child that one of the parents love. There should be something tho. And I hope soon that there is. It is sad really.

What is this? How can your biological father take your mother to court to prevent an abortion, when you're all ready born?

You can try any argument in court if your attorney can find legal supprt for the argument. But under the general standard set by the US Supreme Court, it's exceedingly unlikely.

Isn't this Roe vs. Wade? The biological father lost. A woman has domain over her body.

Sadly, No. You can't even prove that you're the biological father at this point. Paternity tests only work on babies that are already born.
