Depends - If it's a summer concert I think outside is better. I also think rock tends to hold its own outdoors whereas classical is better served by being indoors. But some of my favorite rock concerts were indoors. Some of it depends on the balance and type of instruments in use, as well as the acoustics of the hall or sound system used outdoors. Confused yet?

If I like the band indoors in a small venue , I think big outdoor shows are more of an event than a concert.

I like good concerts. Doesn't really matter whether they are indoors or outdoors (though outdoors leaves you susceptible to the weather). The best & worst concerts I've seen were both indoors, but I've seen some very memorable concerts both indoors & outdoors.

I prefer outdoor concerts unless you have to stand and I mean stand like forever.

Yeah, I agree with you, outdoor concerts go on all day and they can be pretty exciting.

Definitely outside! I live in NY where we have the Jones Beach Theater and it is on the water so it is so beautiful to watch a concert on the water. I saw the Black Eyed Peas there Friday and they were great!!!

I'll second that, my most memorable concerts were outdoors: REM, Seattle's Bumbershoot, and Endfest(Seattle radio station annual concert)

Outdoor, the fresh air, the grass, it's more lively.
