Im interested in getting a new Palm Tungsten TX. Im quite impressed in its reviews from numerous considering its price which is about mid-range. Can I play videos in MOV, DIVX, MPEG, XVID and other codecs on it? Im planning to play video based tutorials on it. Please help me on this.

Are there any brands out there of the same quality and of the same price range. Please suggest.

Yes, you can play many types of video file format on the Palm with an open-source program called "The Core Pocket Media Player". It's available for download at:

http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/download

You can also encode full DVDs and watch them on the T/X with a program called "Palm Media Studio." You can find a link to it on Xocial at http://www.xocial.com BEST OF Palm OS listings. It's #4.

I use Palm Media Studio on the Palm LifeDrive, and it's AWEsome. Well worth the purchase!
