for some reason, people are unwilling or unable to face the cause of the 'unrest'

there is enough world income [production by work] to pay every family working average hard US75,000 a year [ie US$75,000 worth of products of work]

1% get 90% of world income

90% of people get paid 10th-1000th of world average hourly income - ie, they are from full slaves to far far worse

another 9% get paid 1th-10th of world average hourly income

1% get between 1-1,000,000 times world average hourly income

1% get 90% of world income - US$70 trillion a year - US$70,000,000,000,000 - ie, US$70,000 per family in the world [1,000,000,000 families]

the underpaid work harder than the overpaid

justice is equal pay for equal work

we have super hyper extremely unequal pay for equal work

we have pay from 1000th-1,000,000 times world average hourly pay

money is vital - money is good for all needs and millions of wants

money is power - underpay is underpower [slavery] - overpay is overpower [tyranny, corruption]

how 'annoyed' would it make you to be permanently on 1000th - 100th - 10th of world average hourly pay?

1% get 90% - 1% do less than 1% of the work - ie, they steal [legally and illegally] 89% of world income - about US$70,000 per family a year

obviously, causing extreme hardship and privation, extreme anger, extreme violence

violence caused by theft must escalate endlessly, as both sides try to prevail, the robbed to get back, the robbers to keep

injustice [overpay and underpay] has grown for 1000s of years - violence [war and crime] has grown for 1000s of years

1% of humanity are being robbed of so much that they starve to death each year

1% of humanity are driven to such conflict that kills them every year

5% of humanity each year are seriously injured in the wars and crime

war and weaponry has escalated to the ability to destroy all planet life 60 times over, thanks to e=mc2 and smoke blocking out the sun permanently

in short, a fraction of 1% have stolen most of most people's earnings, and stolen world peace, stolen over 99% of human happiness, and stolen the human future

the human fate is like the film the three amigos, which portrayed a village that kept getting raided by bandits, thrusting them into abject poverty, overwork, slavery - the bandits had better weapons, so could control the rest - the bandits had more recklessness, more rapacity, less feeling, more terror

the peasants could not organise themselves to defeat the bandits, although they outnumbered them 99 to 1

in the film, the peasants knew the bandits were bad

in the world, the 99% underpaid are not united in thinking the 1% superoverpaid are bad - the thought among the 99% is not:

let us have fairpay, let us have an end to overpay and underpay, overpower and underpower, endless violence, misery and death, ever-escalating, to extinction soon;

but instead is:

the bandits have it good, let me be a bandit

justice is a cause of happiness

we have super hyper extreme injustice

so we are super hyper extremely unhappy

and we could be super hyper extremely happier, by committing justice in pay

and the 'unrest' is escalating, as it has done for 1000s of years of growth of war and weaponry

and everyone can understand this, for it is simple

if it hadnt been for e=mc2 and nuclear winter, we could have gone on for centuries more, escalating war and weaponry, but now our future is short - an atom bomb here, an atom bomb there, and the sun will be blocked out everywhere on the globe forever

i have a practical free easy dangerfree capitalist plan with myriad advantages, but there is not enough light in the human mind and not enough fire in the human belly to see it, and do it- i have tried for ten years

there is not 100th enough light and fire, although total cost is merely learning something everyone already agrees with, and teaching it to just two people, say lovers, friends and family -

and the benefits, to absolutely everyone, are enormous, total - and i can prove that everyone already agrees that it will benefit everyone enormously, totally

apparently at bottom the human will is equally for creation and destruction - to create much and to destroy all - to suffer as much to enjoy

look at the entertainment value of bullets and bombs, wrecks, shock, nasties and horror -

to love birth, and love death - to live in contradiction, fearing the horrors of war, rejoicing in the end of war, and yet never paying the tiny cost of the permanent end of war

humans will not or cannot pursue their happiness

justice is a major cause of happiness

humans will not pursue justice

there is no will to destroy genocide, hiroshimas, concentration camps, bullets, bombs, anger, massacre, torture, pearl harbours, 9/11s, mafias, tyranny, lockerbies, biafras, cultural revolutions, fascism, nazism, insecurity, anxieties, problems, communism, dictatorship, my lais, vietnams, griefs, afghanistans, corruption, napalm, wageslavery, slavery, hijacking, war crimes, terrorism, sexslavery, war, starvation, murder of 100 million each year, murder of 6-7 billion humans soon, unnecessary blindness and disease, ignorance and uneducation

apparently we revel in these things

the solution is so simple

stated by all wise people, shouted by all history, again and again proven to work

if you have plenty for all [which we have, US$75,000 per family, every family producing around US$75,000 worth of goods a year], how can you destroy most happiness [peace, safety, etc]? -

just by taking most earnings [and hence power] off most people and giving it to very few

how can you recreate most happiness?

restoring earnings to earners, restoring products to producers - limiting fortunes to the maximum earned fortune [US$2 million, 2006 dollars] and returning the stolen money, the overpay, to the underpaid

committing justice

but humanity will not do it

would rather have war than do it

would rather have 'unrest' than do it

would rather have superunderpay and superoverpay and superviolence than do it

would rather kill ourselves than do it

would rather kill everything than do it

are killing ourselves, are killing everything, rather than commit justice

a dog tearing itself to pieces

completely lost to pursuit of happiness

how sweetly, how perfectly, every other animal pursues its happiness - the birds feed, the birds look out for cats - but not humanity

humanity is so unafraid of pain and death, so indifferent to happiness and pleasure, that it multiplies its sufferings 1000-fold beyond the natural sufferings

envy the gazelle, eaten by the lion, the gazelle that knows 1000th as much as the human pain

are we earnest to share fairly, in proportion to work, so that no one will be annoyed, no one an enemy, everyone a friend, amity and pleasure at a maximum?

do we grasp that every injury causes an equal and opposite reaction? - do we grasp that theft of money, which buys millions of things, including all necessities, is the worst injury, the greatest endangering of ourselves?

do we grasp that overpay is overpower is tyrannous abuse of human rights, the ground for torture and slavery?

we are easily intelligent enough to grasp these things - what is making us refuse to grasp or unable to grasp these simple things?

99% of people would be better paid with justice in pay - what is stopping them from even wanting justice? - is the ratio of aggression and energy so great between the 1% and the 99% that the 99% are intimidated by 1%? - why is there so little resentment and so much admiration of the super overpaid, super overpowerful? -

why is it so often believed that the poor are lacking in good qualities, that the rich are supreme in good qualities? - is it that people suspect the injustice, and justify the injustice by blaming the robbed, and looking up to the robbers, rather than have the grit to face reality?

why do underpaid people grumble about the overpaid, but dont feel entitled to justice?

bad or mad or sad or had?

If people r not happy and not occupied in some way or other, unrest sets in.There is so much unemployment every where. If wide spread unemployment is prevalent almost all parts of the world one can expect unrest every where.People wants to do something or other. If they cannot find jobs ,they get into some sort of militant activity and there r organisations to just to cash the situation. So what u find every where the r organised militant organisations to create more unrest and chaos.Life is getting worse by the day.

I think if you look at history, there has always been unrest. Its seems like there is more because we are here now, exoperiencing it in real time; not separated by time and our fading memory. So really, the question is "why is there so much unrest in the world? Thats because we are ignorant and forgetful. And we are ignorant and forgetful of our own tendancy for evil. It is God's grace that is holding back the tide of our evil.

There is unrest because there are bad people in the world. The only solution is to take away their ability to make mischief.

Nature is a constant flux. Unrest is a part of life. We should rather ask if and why is it more in today's world.

A similar question, in the context of Hindu-Muslim animosity, seems to have been asked to Bismillah Khan, in an interview, just before he breathed his last. He said that the world is going through a transition. Things will settle down, in course of time. Khan was a great soul. May his last words come true and all be inspired by his life, after his death, as we were by his music, during his life-time.

What makes today's world any different from other day's. If it wasn't the scourge of God Attila attacking us, it was the Spanish Inquisition trying to burn us at the stake or pirates robbing us on the high seas, or Alexander trying to conquer us, or the long knives trying to take our reservation, or the SS trying to exterminate us, or the Romans throwing us to the lions, etc, etc, etc,...

This question would require an essay to answer fully. I would say a good portion of it is due to competition for a limited number of resources, using the word "resources" very broadly...
