We have been haveing some wierd rainy weather here in the dry state of AZ ( I live in one of the hotter cities in the state )
Severe thunderstorm warnings posted late Friday night for parts of the state, including central Maricopa and west-central Pinal counties, triggered the threat of flooding into early Saturday morning, Weather Watch 5 meteorologists reported.
Heavy rains, high winds and pronounced lightning accompanied the storms as they knifed their way through the Greater Phoenix area.
Localized flooding remained a threat, according to meteorologists. Radar indicated rainfall rates were in excess of one inch per hour in places, and some locations picked up more than one and a half inches of rain since around 10 p.m., according to meteorologists
