No they don't! I have worked with people and have had access to various reports about rape. A study was done which looked at over 5000 rape cases and one of the parts of the study was what the victim was wearing. Less than 1% of the time was the victim in a skirt or dress that even came up above her knees! According to the psychologist that I heard speak about this he said that rapist's are looking for a very vunerable target. Ladies in mini skirts usually have an air of confidence and that is something a rapist doesn't want to confront! I wish more people understood this, wearing clothing that some people find suggestive sexually doesn't invite rape at all!
Good question

Absolutely not. Rape is a crime against woman, not invited or encouraged by women by what they wear. A woman should have the right to walk butt naked down the street without being violated, just as a man should.
It is a very feeble justification of a crime of power and violence (not about sex and lust), to suggest that the wearing of a miniskirt has anything whatsoever to do with the perpetuation and / or prevention of this crime

We woman jump at the opportunity to tell men how horrible they are for looking at us or making assumptions about our sexuality and openness toward being approached for physical relationships when we wear provacative clothing. The truth is, men like to look at women. We know that. They especially like to look at attractive women. There are several things that make a woman attractive to a man, but we all know the first thing a man notices about a woman is her BODY. If a woman chooses to expose the majority of a part of her body that is associated with sex - and for men, that includes the upper part of the inner thigh - some men feel free to assume that that female is open toward being approached for a relationship geared toward sexual activity. Men are hard wired to think about things in a sexual fashion. Miniskirts don't invite rape, but they DO invite attention from the opposite sex. Revealing attire attracts sexual attention, whether we know it, choose to acknowledge it, or not. A lot of women out there enjoy that attention. We all know that sexual predators will prey on anyone, not just a woman attempting to attract attention. Do miniskirts invite rape? No. But I do believe attempting to get attention through revealing clothing may invite unwanted attention. I also believe that attracting more attention may also attract the attention of sexual predators. Should we be afraid of that? I don't believe so, but I do think women need to take consideration for what sort of messages they are sending to the opposite sex with their clothing.

Rape is about domination not sex contrary to popular belief.
It doesn't matter about what the victim wears, rapists normally target young women who're vulnerable.
There're women who're covered from head to toe and yet they get "attacked." And what of little girls? They're too young to even defend themselves!
Stay in groups, safety comes in numbers. Look like you know where you're heading, be confident. Never let yourself be a target.

No, they don't! No means no. Period. I don't care what the girl is or isn't wearing. The problem here is that most people think rape is about sex. Rape is about power. Sex just happens to be the weapon.

No. As it has been pointed out by many on this threat, guys who rape women(and girls) will rape them regardless of how they dress.
Besides that, not every man is attracted to women who dress in one specific manner or style.

NO NO NO!!! People who rape do not do it based on what a person is wearing. They're just sick and twisted and if they have any intentions on raping a particular person it doesn't matter if they're wearing a trash bag.

No, you should not live in fear. Dress as you like. Don't give in to the people who say it's the womans fault. They have their own agenda. They are not interested in what's best for you.
