go to contacts/messenger archive .Detele any message if you want

hey, here is the procedure:
go to yahoo messenger and sign in...
rest of the process is as follows, if u want to delete ur saved IMs:
messenger---> preferences---> archive (4th option in yahoo msger 8)---> clear archive now
if u want yahoo msger not to save any of ur recent instant messages list permanently forever,
then,
messenger---> preferences---> archive (4th option in yahoo msger 8)---> no, do not save any of my messages
