When I worked in a steel foundry, my feet would painfully swollen so that I could barely walk. My feet were never really exposed to the heat, but because the rest of my body was hot, I guess, my feet swelled. Your skin is probably still inflamed from the sun poisoning and will take months to heal. Any fast paced walking will quickly heat up your body and skin temperature causing your feet to swell. Wear cool shoes and raise your feet. If it continues after a month or two, then it might be something else, like morton's neuroma.

do you remember an injury to the foot? could be stress fracture?? you don't list any other symptoms, onset or how often the pain occurs. i would try going to myfootshop.com for some good descriptive articles about foot conditions. they also have a discussion forum to answer questiosn directly. there are a few articles in the source you can use as direct links to check it out. good luck. with no improvement i would seek the advise of a podiatrist.

i've experienced this before but not bcos of any injury though.so u need not worry abt the sun poisoning thingy and this.the remedy to this is to slowly lifr up ur leg and then lift ur fit to 90 degrees to ur leg.this should immediately ease the pain.
