Makeup will aggravate your pimples, but if it's picture day or something, I've found something that works:

Find a concealer in your face color. Faces are usually paler than arms. I prefer liquid Estee Lauder myslef.
Get a little cometic wedge sponge.
Put a bit of the concealer on the sponge.
Dab this directly on the spot.
Take a bit more concealer and dab it around the spot.
Smooth it outward. If it's near your hair, don't worry about getting it in your hair- a makeup line looks bad, and two wet fingers up the strand can take care of it just as well. Also, don't forget about the curves in your face- don't avoid your nose, chin, cheeks, etc. when you are smearing. At the very least, the makeup will go out to at least 1 inch to make it look good.

Also, if the makeup is piled on the blemish and quite an=pparent, give it a few quick dabs with your sponge. Looking natural is the point of concealer.

Well, I have tried about EVERY concealer for blemishes so I will tell you what works best for me. I look for one that covers great BUT does not make the breakout worse. I love Mybelline's EveryFresh concealer. After applying your skincare product and foundation if you wear it, dab the concealer on a little chunky and then smooth it out from there. Once you have the red spot invisible, smooth the edges, let it dry a few minutes, and then use powder on top. Another great one is made by Lancome. I don't remember the name but ask for the "waterproof" one in a tube. It is really awesome. I've had so much success with both of these, most people don't even know that I have a skin problem...which is unbelievable. That is how great it covers without aggravating the problem. Just use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil to remove at night. Enjoy!

Good luck.

I've suffered with acne for awhile now, however, I think treating acne takes time. I got rid of of acne by drinking lots of water and eating very healthy, which was the best remedy by far. Also, washing my face twice daily. ,However, using natural cleansers made my face feel, look healthier, and clearer. Though, having a workout plan also takes a big impact on your skin, ALSO, NEVER TOUCH OR PICK AT YOUR FACE. But, if you absolutely have to, get two q-tips and squeeze the puss out gently. Then, put an ice cube on it so the redness will go away. Also, changing your pillowcases every other night helps too. I hope I helped. :)

As much as possible do not put make up on top of pimples, it only makes it worse. But if you need to, try an eraser foundation thats hypoallergenic and safe for pimples. For now, use Proactive to get rid of the pimples and you might not need to wear make up after all. If you can't find Proactive, try clean and clear.

First start with a yellow cover up product. The yellow will provide in masking the red if the pimple is inflamed. Follow up with a stick cover up, then foundation, finally powder.

I got bare minerals a year ago, and I am still happy with it. I have a lot of imperfections, a few pimples, circles around my eyes (I have fair skin, so, DARK circles) It helps a lot. I get lots of complements on my skin from perfect strangers. I never used to get complements before I started using bare minerals. It worked for me. Try going to a Sephora store. They will put the makeup on you there. Then you can see if it will work for you before you buy it. I hope there is one in your mall...
