yes he did he was a young man whose parents died and he became rich and lived with a priest after his loss the link i gave tell the story but not as well as i have once been told the diference is the other story says that after loosing so much nick decided all that matered with the help of his priest that is he decided all that mattered was hellping other children be appy and not feel as bad as he once did now read the story its great.
