Well, you could go to your local temple and see if anyone from your school is there or attends there, or what you could do is talk about ISRAEL, as a country, not a religious entity, and see who responds well or whatever, because normally Jews have a greater interest. If someone is interested, say "are you Jewish or just concerned" or something like that and that's pretty easy.

hmm. well if they come from a somewhat religious family look for different behavior around holiday times or missing days of school for rosh hashana or yom kippur. also there is obviously the name thing (first names as well as last names) that sound hebrew or jewish. also jews do kind of have a "look". usually brown hair- dark eyes etc... this obviously doesnt always apply but someone who has dark features is more likely to be jewish than someone with blond hair and blue eyes etc... thats all i can think of for now, hope i helped.

it is hard - there is not any absolute assure re names. an straight forward mind-set should be to communicate with a Jewish professional individual (e.g. a rabbi) on your city and ask them - they could comprehend in the present day. If there is not any Jewish business organization on the city then attempt calling the nearest city that you comprehend of with a Jewish presence. oftentimes the Jews contained in the better city will also comprehend who their Jewish associates are in a small city. All you want is to locate one Jewish family individuals - they're going to comprehend who the others are. sturdy luck!

Why don't you start out making friends with everyone. you will know who your Jewish friends are after a while or meet them when you go to temple. Why not make friends and share your heritage/beliefs with others. That's how tolerance and acceptance is developed-- through learning about one another and embracing our differences.

Go to Temple and see who shows up. Toss out some Yiddish terms and see who responds to them. Mention a Jewish holiday and see who reacts.
