There are many misconceptions about being Libertarian. People throw out extreme examples of Libertarian thought to be dismissive or they do not know the truth.

Libertarians believe in freedom with responsibility. If you are stupid enough to become a drug addict don't come to the government for welfare or treatment. Take care of the problem you caused yourself.

Less taxation..less intrusive government....less drug enforcement...

All of this seems fine...some of the Libertarian views on guns and ammo, however, don't sit well with me, personally...

Every citizen does not need cop killer armor piercing rounds....

Not sure how far this reaches across the Libertarian board..but a Libertarian candidate here espoused this very idea...

No way, Libertarians are much closer to Republicans because they stand for less government and less government control and less government services and less taxes. They believe government is only for military and that ilk and not for welfare. They also are not big fans of public schools.
My bf and many friends are libertarian, many AZ libertarians. Also many in NH !!!!

Thank you. You guys don't get enough recognition. I know who you are - you keep track of the books in the library - checking them out, putting them in order (using the Dewey Decimal System) collecting fines when people are late returning books. Also very helpful in finding books. You don't get enough credit for the good you've done. Thank you.

If our perception is wrong, then correct us. I personally am not sure, but I know what Democrats and Liberals stand for, and I'm against them.
