how do I become a goth?

(p.s for you who answered my last question im not over weight im even a bit under but hey who cares im not gaining or loseing i look great)

I need answers not people saying"loser" or telling me not to be please be respectful

i dont want to worship santan its just freaky,i dont really have a religon

id love to dye my hair black but my mom will kill me!

paint your hair black, wear black vampire-ish clothes, wear red lipstick, listen to those creepy songs, put on tons of eyeliner, wear those weird boots, get a nose piercing, and talk less.

Goth is simply a label that other students place on people. Most of those people probably don't have that many different interests or beliefs than you. They just choose to express themselves through a different manner of dress, make-up and style than some other students. Really, from what I've seen, the only thing it takes to acquire the "goth" title is to wear lots of black clothes, dark makeup and hang out with others who are in the goth clique.
Goth is a way of life and a belief system, and usually a way to dress. Every goth is different just like anyone else. :) I would be VERY careful however because some goths get VERY angry at people "pretending" to be goths. I would be prepared for this. I am just giving you a fair warning. For every person that attacks you for it, there is another one willing to befriend you. :) Not all goths are alike and everyone has their own spin on what exactly it is to be Gothic. :)

Goth takes a great amount of dedication to get it right. You can't just become one in a day. That's what they call wanna-bes. You can't care what other people think of you and there are just too many things you can't be doing. I mean if you want to wear chains or dye your hair black then just do it. Be yourself. If you want to wear stuff from hot topic do it. If you are asking for an opinion on whether or not to be one, my personal opinion is no. If you don't even know what it takes to be one then don't.

To become Goth:
Throw away any taste in good music and start listening to complete crap
Talk about how "dark" you are, and how you and Satan are tight
Hate your parents (they could be the best parents in the world but so what, you are totally Goth)
Tell everyone that you are a "individual" even though every other Goth looks just like you
And you can't be Goth with the name Kitten, try LucifersDeathKitten instead

OR...here's a crazy thought. How about just being yourself.

I think if you had to ask, then you are not sure. Do you identify yourself as goth? If not why bother? Do you have friends that are goths? Maybe you should shop with them. Start by getting a few items and with time you will accumulate black clothes. then you could dye your hair.

ok im not going to be disrespectful as u say but i seriously think that goths are scary and to be a goth u hav eto look scary act scary act hard listen to like heavy metal wear all black and be mean which like im ttly against but like thast seriouly how it works ive tried it actuially and yeah im not so into to the music the black or the mean part so.. yeah bu ti do hope that u dont go goth hope that u like the answer :)

U just have to wear like black lipstick and clothes and then like dye your hair black too. Then you gotta let it get all greasy and gangly looking and you can wear vampire teeth for the full effect. Good luck!

You shouldn't have to ask. If you ARE goth, then you are. If you're not, don't try to become one. That just makes you a loser.

well, you can dye your hair black, go over oard with black eye liner, heavy black eyeshadow, black/purple lipstick, black clothes, head to toe, baggy black jeans, black vans... hm? Any more Black things you shoudl need?
