This is a condition called a dead pixel. Wikipedia defines dead pixels as: A dead pixel is a defective pixel that remains unlit on an LCD screen, monitor, Camera Charge-coupled device or CMOS sensor. Usually if you have more than 15 pixels that are dead or only displaying one color, and your under warranty you can have your laptop replaced. I would check with your manufacturer.

If it is under warranty send it back. The lcd is probably bad. I have had several laptops that have done that and I replaced the screen they were all fine. If it is not under warranty and you would like to fix it yourself try ebay

This is because your computer has Fast Search by Surf Canyon
You may have got that from searching something on internet
To stop that you go to your browser in Tools and click on it
You look for Add-ons then click on it
It will open up a new screen as Add ons Manager
You look for Fast Search by Surf Canyon and click on Disable
then go to tools again click on Options
Look for browsing history and delete all history and cookies then close all program and restart your computer again That will stop those annoying red line running across your computer or laptop
Hope this works for you
Good luck
Bye

If you have warranty on it take it back ASAP.
Other than that I don't think it's something that can be fixed. The screen will probably be replaced

I don't think it's dead pixels, but a blown driver or faulty connector on the LCD itself. This is what will cause a whole column of pixels to fail.
Either way, take it back; if it is the connector, it will get worse.

First try dumping then downloading the monitor driver.
Failing that contact the manufacturer.

I agree with earlier posters. If you had a warranty with the computer when you bought it, take it back and ask for it to be looked at.
