On the Sims 2 how do you move a user-created family to a different neighborhood?

I created a new neighborhood with a new family and I want to know how to move them to an original neighborhood in the game.

What you can do is look on the neighborhood view, on the dial at the bottom left. Look where the lots option is. There is an icon to pick up your family's home and just drag it to the house bin.

Then after you do that, change to the other neighborhood you want, and drag their house to their new spot. They will NOW be in a **new database**, so all their memories of the old neighborhood and the neighbors there will be gone.

Another option is that if you really love their house and the family in it. Go to the neighborhood view and click on the house. An asterisk will be on the pop up. You can use that to package the lot. It will store your lot either on your computer or put it on your sims account at the official website. If you do it that way, you have a copy of them in mint condition to start over with any time you want, in any neighborhood you want. All you have to do is give it a name you'll rememer and when you are not playing the game, go to where you have it stored and double click it to load it into the game.
