Steve was first.. steve needed a life. Steve's brother joe came to live there with blue and his own dog, Magenta.
BTW.. Blue is a girl.

"Blue" is actually the second dog. Before Joe, there was Steve and the original Blue. One day, blue had a run in with a rabid squirrel, and caught it too. Blue lay around the house for days, looking for "clues," until he caught Steve unawares in the shower. Steve slipped, cracked his head, and in his confuesed state, Blue tore his juggular out.
Tragic really. Had to be put down.
