I run for a serious Division I cross country team. We just got a new coach and he's very Remember the Titans'ish. Problem: For bonding purposes, we picked teams of 4 for reasons we didn't know. We just found out we have to run a 5 mile course and carry 2 watermelons per group. You can use anything to carry them but all of the team members have to run together. First team to cross the line wins. Any suggestions?

Sure! Do your best!

I'm willing to bet you are on a 4 man team whose members you aren't all that comfortable with. Do you think that maybe the coach is trying to force you guys to open up to each other? That watermelon will get REAL heavy after about a mile. you guys are going to argue about that watermelon, and how you argue, how you respond to each other during that argument is going to reveal things about yourselves.

Since you are all on the SAME team can you see any downside to this? I don't

Get you some sort of netting like a hammock where all of you have a corner to hold , The other team will be passing it around and you will be at the finish line first good luck
