I've been friends with this guy for a year and a half. We recently started dating but a while after i found out he was cheating on me, or rather that he was cheating on her with me, although i knew i didn't end the relationship because i truely cared for him and was in denial. I kept thinking he would leave her. I asked him several times and he denied it.i tried telling him i would be alright with it and i'd stay with him as long as he was honest with me. I don't know i guess i set myself up by not ending it when i found out. Then finally we got into an arguement and he told me everything, i know he was just trying to be hurtful but i know that it's all true and even so the nasty things he said that night are unforgivable...but i can't help but want to be with him.

I hate to say it but you really don't have a right to be angry. You lost that right once you found out and didn't flat out say "I KNOW you're cheating and I don't deserve this". Of course he'd keep lying to hide it, he didn't want to be found out. He was having his cake and eating it too! And he was doing something he knew was wrong and getting away with it. Some guys (and girls too) get their kicks just doing that and hiding it, even if the other person says they'd be "okay with it".

Since the moment you found out and didn't do anything, you've been setting yourself up for a huge let down. Did you really think he'd leave her when he didn't even leave her to start dating you? I mean seriously, I'm not trying to be harsh. I've been in a VERY similar situation and wish that I'd have been smarter about it. Remember this though... when you really truly love and care for someone, you don't cheat. What does that say to you when someone cheats on you? It says that their heart isn't all the way in it, and if you keep hanging on to what's not there, you're only asking to be hurt in the end. Sometimes love is blind and doesn't want to see the flaws in a relationship. But really ... what good is love if it's one sided? Good luck!

I know what you are going through I am with this guy that cheated on me twice and I cant let go of him because we have been together for years now and I just love him to death. I know that I am asking to get hurt and so are you like everyone says once a cheater always a cheater no matter what they say. But I mean you have to look into your heart and see you can't go on what everyone else says. Pray and follow your heart. GOOD LUCK!!!

He sounds like the type of guy that will never be with only one woman. I think you should just be done with him. You deserve someone that wants only you.

if you were aware of his other relationship then you have no right to be mad. besides as long as he knows he can string you along then you deserve what you get.
