I have some rudimentary equipment, a Ted Williams weight set and a weight bench and bar. I also have a curling bar. I am getting a punching bag. What is the best way to tone and build my arm muscles? i've always heard that for toning you need to do endurance curling...is this true? thanks.

For toning, use light weight with lots of reps. Muscle, use more weight and fewer reps per set. The curling bar by itself is really good for toning the muscle. It also works for muscle symetry due to the fact you have to control the bars position. If one arm is weaker than the other, the weaker arm will have to work harder and eventually catch up to the stronger arm.

The punching bag will only be good for endurance while hitting and increasing your hitting power.

Stay away from the juice.

You will have to do a lot of reps with little weight to get cut and toned. Curls, push ups, sholder raises, sholder butterflies.

Result will be noticible by people in 2-3 weeks. You will notice a difference in about 1 week.

1 hour every other day. allow 1 day for muscle recovory. high protien high carbohydrade diet (from veggies) . Boxing is good. For strenght heavy weight not a lot of reps YOU WILL GAIN MUSCLE WEIGHT.

do not left every day. if you want massive mussles work with free weights and do low reps like 10 and very high weight.

if you just want streigth, lower weights high reps like 20.

there isnt a need to do set when lifting. you can get a fine work out on the machine or that musle doing it once.

good luck

Just do the usual arm curls, ect, but I wouldn't waste too much of your life building your muscles.

JUST DO 5 SETS OF 10 REPS...BUT PAUSE FOR 30 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH. SO U CAN SEE RESULTS. IF U REALLY WANT ARM MUSCLES, DO THIS, EVERY HOUR, EVERY OTHER DAY
