Amazingly enough, it probably didn't seem weird to them at the time they hit "enter". Some of them are probably more than a bit messed up due to drugs or alcohol, some are messed up because they *didn't* take their drugs, and some are just eternally confused for no particular reason.
And then there's weird questions like "Where did the Fine Structure Constant come from?" that only make sense to physicists, so everybody else thinks you're *really* weird - and the physicists get upset too, because they know they don't have a clue either - and the guy who figures out where it came from is guaranteed an instant Nobel Prize. ;)
