Game is 5000 points. When I play, I divide the scores for each hand into two parts: the base score and the card score.

Base score is as follows:
For going out.....100
For going out "concealed" (melding your entire hand in one turn).....another 100
For each natural canasta (no wild cards) made.....500
For each mixed canasta (with wilds) made.....300
For each red 3 drawn.....100
* Notes about red 3's:
If one side gets all four, the bonus is doubled to a total of 800
If a side has red 3's and didn't open, the bonus is subtracted instead of added

Card scores are as follows:
Joker.....50
2's, Aces.....20
Kings down to 8's.....10
7, 6, 5, 4, black 3's.....5
The value of these cards melded are added to your score, subtracted for those left in your hand

Point requirements to open:
If your score is negative, you need to meld 15 points (any meld) to open
0-1495.....50 points
1500-2995.....90 points
3000+...120 points
