In the US, NBC, the network now airing the Olys, says that the biggest winter sport is Figure Skating. But as others said, this really depends on your country. For example, in the Czech Republic, the biggest winter Oly sport is hockey.

I don't know but I think this varies greatly depending upon which country you are from. I know Americans watch the figure skating and sprinting a lot.

In the summer, Americans watch track & field events alot but if you live in another country, you might watch something different.
In the winter, I like to watch speed-skating but it's not my favorite.
My favorite is the men's ski jumping, but again, I live in the U.S. Somewhere else, they might like another event.
