I've been stung by wasps, honey bees, horseflies, and those huge black & yellow bees. I'll take a wasp sting over a bee anytime.

huge flying black things? sounds more like a horsefly. but to answer your q? yes, I have been stung many times by wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, honey bees, bumblebees, but that comes from playin in the woods as a kid. it isn't so bad when you know how to ease the sting.
