I am 22 weeks pregnant and I am having the worse pain in my back and pelvic region. I go to the doctor on Tuesday for my check up but it is getting to the point that I don't want to roll over in bed. Anyone have or had this? Please tell me it is completely normal.

I had this same thing and it was because my uterus was tilted. I feel so sorry for u :( Just beware, if that is the problem , ask for a epidural during labor right away, because there is NOTHING worse than having back labor!!! GOOD LUCK TO U!!!

Definitely normal. The pressure of the baby pressed on my sciatic nerve and I could barely walk. I found going to the chiropractor/acupuncturist very helpful to relieve the pain. Incidentally, the pain started at around 19 weeks and I could barely walk, and continued until I had the baby. But right after the birth, there was no longer any pain and I could walk again!

my son i had him 3 years ago was the heaviest of my babies in the last few months probably at least last 8 weeks, i was in pain so much that i couldnt even walk far, i was in so much pain getting out of bed and going to the letterbox,i couldnt stand to do anything, yes if your baby is very big, it is natural to be in pain and with the pelvic region being sore-ooohh yes honey completely normal ,baby is strating to head its way down and the further on you get in your pregnancy the worse it can get, the only thing you can do honey is rest as much as poss,i know easier said than done but truthully the less getting round the worse you have to feel, bear with it , and your baby will soon be here, congratulations and good luck!!

It is definitely common. Worse in some people than others, depending on where the baby is hanging out.... Does sound like he or she is on your sciatic nerve. Ouch! One thing that may help you sleep is to lie on your left side & put a big pillow between your knees-- it helps take some of the pressure off.

IT IS NORMAL......THE ADDED WEIGHT AND THE BABY'S POSITION CHANGES UR POSTURE. UR HIPS WILL HURT LATER CUZ THE BABY WILL START PUTTING PRESSURE IN THE PELVIC REGION THUS WIDENING THE OPENING FOR HIM OR HER TO GO THROUGH. IF U FEEL U NEED TO TAKE MEDICINE FOR THE PAIN I THINK TYLENOL IS THE ONLY THING U CAN TAKE FOR THAT....BUT YEAH BACK PAIN IS PERFECTLY NORMAL.....WHEN MY WIFE SAID THAT TO THE DOCTOR THE DOC SAID GOOD AND THEN EXPLAINED IT HOW I DID

You most likely have sciatica. It is from the baby resting on your sciatic nerve. It is very painful, I had it when pregnant. I believe it is totally normal.

i had that same pain when i was pregnant with my daughter. one thing i found that helped alot was to sleep on an air mattress with a pillow between my legs. i had to sleep on it for the last five months of my pregnancy.
