I've loved the Steelers ever since I can remember. I was really young, but I can remember watching Franco Harris, Bradshaw, Lambert, etc. play the game. I even suffered through the Mark Malone years. Oh God they were awful.
I think they'll be good this year, but I seriously doubt they'll make it back to the Super Bowl. The Patriots barely went back to back, and they were awesome, I don't see the Steelers being that kind of team. Good luck to your boys, they're going to need it being in that tough NFC East division. I do think you guys have the best team in that division though (please crush the Skins by the way, I live near D.C. and can't stand 'em.)

I live about 35 minutes from Pittsburgh and have been a fan all of my life. I'm a girl and not really big on the whole sport thing but I love the Steelers. Big Ben isn't even the biggest player to me. My favorite player is Troy Polamalu. I know how you feel about the whole "after the Superbowl it seems we have more fans now" which is probably true. I lived in Vegas last summer and was surprised to see how many people were wearing Steeler jerseys out there. But here where I live and grew up it's not uncommon at all. I am happy to see them get ring #5. Now, after this year is over, we'll finally have the most rings out of everyone. Shut us down, though? I always like to see a good game. But the Cowboys? You guys need some more practice. Who knows maybe we'll meet you at the Superbowl. Good Luck to you.

Before Big Ben, I sat in Three Rivers stadium and watched HOUSTON beat the Steelers without a single offensive TD. It was PATHETIC.
I'm a MAJOR Steelers fan, and think Jerome BETTIS ROCKS!! Never believed all that crap going on about him a couple years ago.
I'm from Pittsburgh. Even when Kordell Stewart was QBing a few years, I was a fan. Although I think I (as a woman) can throw a spiral better and more accurately than Kordell ever could (if not as far). And Hines Ward probably has the best hands in the league.
Never was much of a fan of Charlie Batch, FUFU, or Plaxico, though.
Enough names for ya?

You must be the most stupid man in the world. Even the other idiots know that the panthers and the cowboys are in the other conference retard, so they wont have anything to do with the steelers making the super bowl. Before Big Ben was in the steelers, I believe they had Bradshaw and Bettis stupid. Next time, examine your question well. Oh and by the way, COWBOYS SUCK!!

My dear, you haven't been around long enough to make a statement like that. I've been a Steelers fan since the 70's when the dream team took them to the Superbowl. Terry Brandshaw and Franco Harris! Come on! And Lynn Swann! My goodness, the man wasn't just an athlete, he was an artist! He defined wide-receiving. Perhaps you haven't heard from us because we have the good manners not to act like idiots in our revelry.

Actually they are my team and I knew players before him. I was a Kordell Stewert fan so I didn't like Maddox. Actually a lot of the fans were still there just quiet. I mean losing in the Confrence Championship like they kept doing kinda gets you more quiet.

If you've never lived in or visited Pittsburgh, or been to a Steeler game, then how would you know if we've been quite or quiet? Pittsburgh has THE most loyal fans ever, so bring it on!
