Standard legal fee per closing is $500, but if the lawyer is attached to a company, it's salary and/or commission, depending on what arrangement the lawyer has with the employer. These are not etched in stone: rates vary according to state and municipality. In some states, it is not permitted to engage in more that one function in a given title transaction, thus, a lawyer who delivers title may not be allowed to do the closing. Check with your state's National Realtor and Bar regulations. B.

Depends on where you live and serve, I suppose. Real estate is kind of a shaky business right now. The housing market has kind of gone dead in Oklahoma.

Where I live, $250,000 to $500,000

$500 is not a "standard" fee. I don't know anyone who would touch a closing for less than $1,200
