Has anyone changed their hands from being generally dry to being soft and smooth. Is it possible?

I have done this. I used palmers cocoa butter lotion on my hands twice a day, and I carried a small container of petroleum jelly with me everywhere so if I did the dishes or washed my hands in the toilet at work, I would apply it then.
I stop using really hot water and my hands are now remarkably different but it did not happen quickly so be patient

I would recommend using any cream that contain AHAs (i think it stands for alpha hydroxide acid), which triggers the skin to produce new skin.

I have started using a face cream my garniar, its a wrinkle cream but I have found its an amazing moisturiser which I also use on my hands. It makes my skin smooth and soft and seems to last all day, even thought I just use a little. I have even noticed some of my old acne scars have even started to fade a little

Drink plenty of water and the best lotion in the world for dry hands is Vaseline. At night put a a lot on both hands and wear cotton gloves or what is good too is surgical gloves, you can get them at any medical supply store or beauty supply store. Do this at night when sleeping, the next morning your hands will be baby soft.

I got this lotion from Bath and Body Works called Hand Repair+Healing Hand Cream with Shea Butter! I had really bad chapped hands from shovelling snow where it hurt to wash dishes... I used it for about a week and it worked great! They also have a couple of different types and kids when you go in you can ask one of the girls show them what you want to do/get rid of thats what I did and the stuff they showed me worked great!

Ditto w/ just me, but look for a hand lotion like Aveeno or St.Ives , or any lotion by victorias secret that are moisturizers for rough/dry skin. I read this once in an article and it might help you is that you should try soakin both hands in cold milk, yes milk. It'll help replenish your hands and make them look & feel softer.

I slather on bag balm ( in green tin ) found at any CVS or Rite Aide
put plastic gloves on ( like the ones for dying hair)
then put on old winter gloves..
watch TV for a few hours
take off and wash hands

smooth like a newborns tush

Try useing Bag Balm on ur hands every nite before bed, it's a litle greasy but works great

Drink lots of water for hydration, exfoliate hands once or twice a week, use a hand cream daily and use a cuticle oil.

Iuse vaseline last thing at night and by the morning they are lovely and soft. I also use it for the hard skin on my feet at night.
