I remember him saying he was not a Democrat in an interview. He has been a guest speaker for Dem's but i don't believe he is a Democrat.

I've been honestly trying to find out...the searches I've made are overflowing with hearsay and most would like to see him dead, there is no way an honest opinion can be made about his politics

You may find in a library somewhere a documentary hosted by Philip Seymour Hoffman titled "The Party's Over" which is a manifesto of sorts for Indepedants. In it, Micheal Moore spells out how he feels about the political parties. As for Libertarian, I would check wikipedia on that term. The wikipedia entry for Libertarianism starts out:

"Libertarianism is a political philosophy advocating that individuals should be free to do whatever they wish with their person or property, as long as they do not infringe on the same liberty of others. Libertarians hold as a fundamental maxim that all human interaction should be voluntary and consensual."

I think it is a matter of opinion whether or not Moore's activities and stated beliefs mesh with them. He has been a registered dem since the early 90's but, as you say, claims not to be one. He is an Independant but attended and spole at that convention because he felt that splitting the libral vote would help Bush.

Even if you find a site that says so, won't make him a libertarian. Authoritarian fascist, who wants the government to control private business, maybe. Or possibly socialist. But NEVER freedom-loving!

OK, if he isn't a Democrat than cheese isn't considered a member of the dairy group. In other words, you ain't gonna find any websites saying that,

He's too far left to be a democrat. He's probably a socialist.
