Ok I am 6'2 about 200 pounds. I hit hard, and about a 6.1 on the 40 yard dash.I was wondering what position I should be playing. The coaches have me at Dline, and at right tackle on offense. I am like the smallest dline guy besides a 180 pound guy playing dline. I probably can't change my position, but I may be I would like to know what positions would be good to play at.

Ok...so you're a little heavy...and a little slow...but average still.

You're about 16 which means you're gonna grow a little more.

I like you on D-line until you develope some speed and agility, then I might put you at Defensive end until your senior year where you can show me some football sense...then I'd put you at linebacker..
If you don't develop speed and agility or get fat on me...I'd make you a permanent offensive lineman.

At the high school level you are ok on the defensive line. However in college, you would be too small at your current height and weight. I would suggest being a linebacker next year and to tell your coach at the End of this season. You probably won't grow into the defensive line position (due to your size) for division 1 college football. So, you might as well start training to be a good linebacker if you are planning to play at the college level. Not to say you won't play college football, if you stay at the defensive tackle position. If your good enough, they would recruit you and re-train you into a line backer. Its also all about speed, and keep working on that 40 yard dash. Good Luck...

I like your size at left defensive end in a 4-3 scheme. There is nothing wrong with the DE position, you're usually the one who gets the sacks on the quarterback. You also have the best chance of fumble recoveries. If think this sucks, look at Julius Peppers, Bruce Smith, and Reggie White.

If you dont like the Dline, play linebaker, and if u can catch, play tight end

I think you are in the right spot. Guard on offense and somewhere on the line on defense.

I can't believe that you are small at 200 pounds. Thirty years ago when I played, I was noseman on defense at 155. I was small but quick and did well.

Hit the weights and run and enjoy it all you can. Best of luck.

they have you on defense, so i wont suggest Tight end or anything, Dline is good, but middle line backer could be another viable spot

if middle line backer sounds cool, you have to be good at reading all kinds of plays and be super aggressive jamming the middle
in other words, face to face contact must be something you look forward to

Dline is the perfect position for you.

In a way, I agree with Bigcoolassdad. You are to slow to play any defensive positions but I think you are too small for DT. How are your kicking skills? Maybe you can be the placekicker or punter?

At that size and depending on how well you catch, you could play tight end. It's a fun position being able to block and catch depending on play calls.
If your not good at catching you're pretty good where you are because most guyz at your age arn't that big to begin with.
