No you can not be terminated while on disability(any disability) It doesn' t matter what state you are in, it would fall to the federal standards because they are more strict and so you are not "fireable" while on disability.
They are required to hold a position for you of equal salary, benefits, etc, but they are not required to hold your particular position.

i'm not effective I comprehend...are you contained in the militia, about to be medically discharged? Or are you a disabled veteran who took yet another interest after being medically discharged? If the first, then you certainly will receive veteran's reward, and also you'll note for SSI besides. If the 2d, then did your corporation comprehend of your incapacity once you've been employed? in the adventure that they did, and also you advised them there is favor to take spoil day for medical doctors' appointments etc, then you certainly can't be fired in accordance on your incapacity, in accordance to the ADA. See about getting a attorney and struggling with it. in the adventure that they fireplace you, and the reason they offer is your clinical situation, then i ought to certainly document it as discrimination and sue them huge time. they could't fireplace you purely because you are able to omit artwork for a incapacity. They -can- placed you on non everlasting go away, or droop your artwork position (which means unpaid vacation time, certainly) till such time as you are able to satisfy the hour criteria. yet they could't fireplace you on the idea of your incapacity and your favor to make certain medical doctors. you may also see about operating from domicile if a threat (like once you've a computing device-depending table interest, many cases operating at domicile is a very authentic threat). As lengthy asa you get the hours in that they require, and get the artwork performed, then what does it remember the position you do it? in case you try this, seem into getting a operating laptop or computer that you'll do artwork on at the same time as in waiting rooms...i comprehend I spend hours waiting in workplaces, that if I had a computing device-depending interest and a operating laptop or computer, i'd be doing artwork at the same time as waiting and placed hours of work in. in case you will get round it, do each and everything you are able to't to lose your interest. Unemployment and SSI are -not- sturdy ideas in case you are able to artwork, and searching a sparkling interest will be very demanding with the dearth of jobs those days. attempt to keep the interest you've, because you'll favor it!

It probably differs from state to state.

More important, though: Can you do anything about it if they do terminate you? Just because it's illegal doesn't mean someone won't do it. It doesn't even mean they'll be prosecuted for it.
