Not all V6 engines or vtech 4 cylinders are made the same.
The vtec in my RSX type-S can out perform many v6 engines but not all.
Many V6 engines can beat a Honda Civic's vtech 4.

What about V6 engines WITH vtech - like the Acura NSX??

well in theory any V6 motor should be faster than a V-tec 4 cylinder. but you cant go by just that. there are alot of other aspects that go into this. for example:

a 1987 buick grand national with a 3.8 V6 Turbo will definitely outrun any V-tec 4 cylinder. now take that same car (the buick) and remove its stock turbo. now you have just a regular buick regal. any if not all v-tec motors will run circles around that thing.

also you need to look at the comparison of stock or non stock? weight of the vehicles they are in. gear ratios. climate. there is alot that goes into this
