AMD's dual core processors 4200+,4400+,4600+,4800+ claim to have virus protection implemented in hardware(be aware that present day processors can have many types of aglorithms implemented in hardware as Hardware IP) with Windows XP+SP2.
However as viruses keep evolving, they probably provide limited protection against specific functional viruses only,FYI.

If you have an anti virus software and a firewall installed, you have a virus resistant system! But hat does not mean that your system can with stand any and all malware (Virus)

Everyday new ones are introduced and a program has to be written to try and take care of them. Yesterdays software is no good to tomorrows virus.

And that is not going to change. Executing the ones that get caught might cause a lot of hackers to look for something else to do. But you would still get the few that think they can beat the system. We still have nuts, that rob the bank and go to jail.

The only way to reduce any ugliness is to raise the ante.

You do not read that some nut kidnapped a Russian diplomat, or tried to illegally enter Russia.
